ALL ART COMES FROM LIFE’      Teching Hsieh

From an idea for my solo show in the Autumn of last year to it coming to fruition, life can sometimes come along and hand you a sideswipe!
In February my very close family lost our dear Mum and my original plans for painting  went out of the window.  The show is still titled ‘The Sea and Me’ but my focus changed as the painting became a more cathartic process as I sought my personal sanctuary.
It was always my idea to use Joan Eardley, a beautiful Scottish painter as my inspiration and thus this collection of work reflects a time of contemplation whether on the beach, taking in the coast, and from memory in the studio.  It has been a time that never failed to give, to heal and to give hope and look forward. So if you can please come along to view the many artworks from large to small which full of colour and movement are wildly uplifting.
Paintings in the show are below. Any enquiries, please use the contact form.
