Walking the Wet Sands of Maer

This commission piece was painted over the summer of 2019.  It was a lovely loose commission as the clients had long been fans of my work, so it made it very easy for me to relax and be sure they would love the results.   They loved it and it is making a beautiful statement on the wall of their home now.

Many people will know the long lovely walk at Bude that carries on for over a mile towards Sandymouth Beach.

At low water I love walking for over an hour with the sea at your side, watching the waves tumble in. But remember , it’s always important to time your walk at low tide.

This painting came from the memories of wet sandy walks in the summer with a gently breeze and light scattered in the pools and wet sand.
